Emerging Artists: Ohio Connections

Tomorrow my newest show opens up at The Ohio Craft Museum in Columbus, OH. This show consists of 35 up and coming artists in the medium of: ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, fibers, wood, etc.

Sterling/Wooden Drop Earrings

Here's a design that I came up with for some earrings. They are made with sterling silver and various types of wood. In the photographs I used east indian rosewood, redheart and walnut.

Organic Brooch

This brooch is made with etched copper, nickel silver, palm (wood) and a jade cabochon.

The top portion of the brooch is a hollow structure made of etched copper. The bottom portion is a riveted structure with palm wood sandwiched between etched copper pieces. It also has a jade cabochon stone pressure set into the piece.
